“Life in God’s Keep”, a Praise poem from L.Willows (joy)

Life in God’s Keep

Oh, Joy,
From where do you rise-
larger than life’s birth,
more than the sum of
all measured worth.

Sweeter than all-love,
greater than gifts;
you come in a river
like water that drifts.

Here, in my hearts’ breath.
Here in the deep.
Here in the hush of,
prayers that sing-weep.

Joy in such wonder.
Joy breaks to leap,
All parts to praise-thunder,
Life in God’s keep.

Psalm 16:11

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

John 17:13

But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

John 15:11

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

“Here in the Midst of such Beauty, we Dive”, a worship poem from LWillows

How this Love winds, throughout life’s line,
etching through lives, throughout all time.
The promise was given, of worth, at birth-
spoken in whispers, like a hush from deep earth.

Heaven bends to grant from gracious God’s gift
leaving such beauty, we gasp in love’s drift.

How can heart mother such moment as this,
born in time’s wonder, in the womb of such bliss…
Each of us, children; fostered and found,
fathomed by stillness in the wake of might bound.

Tender this Love as it winds through our lives
here in the midst of such Beauty, we dive.

Jerimiah 31:3

The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Psalm 139:13-16

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

“Wonder at the Mist of New Day”, a worship poem from L.Willows

Journey at the break of day; it hallows me, it marks my way.
All my reasons fall away. I am sanctified; I fall to pray.

Leaves of umber, green and rust
lace the blanket of ground I trust,
embraced by sweet earth tendered there
I am misted, kissed- by the morning’s air.

Take my arms, now opened wide,
and all of my heart: it is humbled, untied.
Take all in through thy sacred side,
this my path of life, to Your step, Your Stride.

Pray this wonder at the mist of new day,
I am lost and found, in your tendered way.

John 1:3. 3
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Psalm 96:11-12
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy!

“Danced in graced prayer” a poem from LWillows

When I danced,
I felt the sweep of a such wind
Catching through all motion’s tone
All on the call from the notes sweet roam.

When I danced
I felt moments before all began
The breath before a pulse to start
Muscle, aim and the form would join heart.

When I danced
I felt joy freed in a gift
Spacious, open and light as a lift
Shared beyond measure, farther than space
Not of my own, but another, of grace.

When I danced
for a sweet time,
I was young, mortal kind,
afloat in God’s air
gifted this, such a dare
in life’s wondrous most cherished
and lovely graced prayer.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
