This, but a Moment

Do you see what I see
in the slant of sun’s crest?
Do you hear all Gods’ beauty in the colors that rest?

Greens in the hollow of deepening curves,
Mint mists that follow the whispering birds.
Blue touches with promise, they hover above,
almost embracing, covering like love.

There in the fields, I see buds lifted sweet-
colored like honey, rising to greet.
All in the midst of the afternoon sun,
this but a moment, a glorious one.

“Wonder at the Mist of New Day”, a worship poem from L.Willows

Journey at the break of day; it hallows me, it marks my way.
All my reasons fall away. I am sanctified; I fall to pray.

Leaves of umber, green and rust
lace the blanket of ground I trust,
embraced by sweet earth tendered there
I am misted, kissed- by the morning’s air.

Take my arms, now opened wide,
and all of my heart: it is humbled, untied.
Take all in through thy sacred side,
this my path of life, to Your step, Your Stride.

Pray this wonder at the mist of new day,
I am lost and found, in your tendered way.

In praise all bows before Your Name
Each leaf on the branch bends green to refrain
Glory to Him, the All of our till
Father and root of each one in His will.

Long and all lasting the winding He keeps
Each Holy vine wrapped around His dear reach.
Forest earth paradise, mortal review
Lasting within The Beloved’s pass-through.

Whispering breezes come home to float peace
Known in Love’s rest, in the garden’s increase.
Here in the lush of God’s paradise apart,
Praise comes to live in the breaths of my heart.

Sink my heart in the beauty of
Springtime grasses, blossoms’ love.
All that whispers life anew
Seeking softy, the dawn, the dew.

Wearing sunshine on tips of buds
there, in joyful hope, I see
all of life in a reverie.

Sink my heart in the beauty of
this the warmth that blossoms love
sweetened wonders, rise in a lift.

There I walk in such mystery’s drift
soaked in color, hues that sing-
songs from nature, calling by spring.
