Lord Have Mercy; a Mother’s Prayer

Lord have mercy,
Live on past me.
Come into the hearts of my children, Lord.
Drawn them in to find you and see.

Lord have mercy,
Live on past me.
Come into the lives of my own, those dear-
Born from my start then apart, these hearts;
Oh Lord give them Your adore, this I implore.

Lord have mercy.
Live on past me.
Take them as Yours full into your grasp.
Bind this my all, these my children, I ask.
Come into their hearts with a fullness, all parts.
This, they belong, we all ask, we all grasp.
Lord, please have mercy,
From the first to the last.

Psalm 100:3
Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Isaiah 43:1
But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

“Cupped in Love Pouring, Love Roaring, Love Sown” a prayer poem from LWillows

Love, Love; heart hear through rain’s pouring
Strike, light; come into call’s roaring
Softly but surely, now in this vast
Find the child’s wanting and fill him to last.

Oh, be the One that will Father his heart.
Sweeten and comfort, give him a start.
How sweet the blessing when life opens to
That moment, the pouring of the thunder of You.

Pray, Love, be stilled by a wonder so new.
Filled by a God of Creation’s imbue.
Oh, sweet- yet there is so much to be known
Cupped in Love pouring, Love roaring, Love sown.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8:26 & 27).

“Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God, out of the fish’s belly, And said, ‘I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and He heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou hearest my voice” (Jonah 2:1-2).

“Lift my son to You, Lord”…prayer poem from LWillows

“Lord, lift my son to You”

I lost and found him throughout the years,
In stories that wound and then tangled with tears.
There I lay soaked in a hive of mother fears,
Caught in the crossfire of life’s inner spheres.

I surrendered, bent forth, in soliloquy bared,
And all of my words left your heart undeclared.
You are loved, my son. My soul pours without end.
Nothing could sever or hinder soul’s blend.

Your eyes shine blue like faraway doors,
Yet I wander through the decades of horizons, yours.
More cherished than anything that words could hide;
Inscribed are the visions that love wrote inside.

Lord, carry what I am powerless to hold.
Lift my son’s heart to Yours in Love’s mercy bold.
Be His Father, stir the miracles – the ones that were born
When you formed him in me, your own Spirit’s dwelling sworn.
